My SE/30 suddenly will not see a Quantum 1.2gig hard drive, either internally, or externally. It did once, then quit seeing it for no reason. Internally, it just doesnt see it. Externally, it says " requires a 68040 or PowerPC processor to see devices over 4 gigabytes in size"...problem there, it is a 1.2 gig drive. I have tried every jumper combination, booting off a floppy, (it will only boot off 7.1 or 7.5 disk tools floppy, no combination of 6.08 will do it)..anyone have any ideas? I dont want to upgrade to system 7, I like the immediate boot of 6. thanks in advance, Preacher
