If the CD-ROM sends audio over the SCSI bus. If not, you'll have to get
a cable from the audio out of the CD-ROM and plug it into the Classic
II microphone input (I do not know if this port takes line level
outputs, check the sound control panel for input options -- if it only
takes mic level, then you should include an attenuating cable to reduce
the level so you don't fry your input circuit, you can get everything
you need from Radio Shack). You might be better off getting external
speakers if this is what you want to do as the Classic has a cheap mono
speaker which has dampened frequency response thanks to being having no
sound vents in the case.

I've recently got a NEC SCSI CD ROM drive, and so far
it works pretty well with my Classic II, however,
could it be possible for the internal speaker to play
Audio CD's?
