Agreed. My primary platform is one that Mactracker doesn't cover, so I'm 
grateful that "redundant" information on Apple systems is available 
conveniently on the web, and would encourage the expansion of the information 
base in a broadly available format. It's not like server space is a fixed 
quantity. The more info, the merrier. If anything, redundancy isn't the 
problem with the web. It's the volatility in the availability of information 
that can be problematic, and that argues *for* redundancy.
