I can't figure out how to make a CD in Mac OS X that would be bootable to a classic environment.

I'm not sure if there is a way...I worked my derrière (:-P) off and wasted 10 CD-Rs trying to make an OS 8.6 (bootable) CD for my 7200 last year, using my iMac G4 (10.3.5 at the time).

Just lettin' you know...

Under Classic, you make a image, bless the sys-folder and then choose the right pull down menu. Another way is to use the sys-folder from say a nortons cd, add whatever suits to the ext and cp folders and wherever. The nortons sytem folder used as an example of a non-specific system folder thats easy to copy.

Under OS7.x you can use the disktools image and put up with the nag or reg edit before hand, I'd guess its the same for sys6.

Roxio, yes adaptec bought them or the other way around, whichever the old Toast site was it had a fairly good instruction set up for toast 4 or may have been 4.5. You can also burn under both windows and linux so I guess its doable under BetaX

Be wonderful if you could cut atleast the footers.
