Hi all -
I seem to remember something about using early system versions on
computers with hard drives. Something about not parking the heads
correctly on shutdown - same goes for floppies. I think 6.0.4 was the
first to do this every time, although there was an extension which
provided the same functionality for earlier systems. This was why
early macs came with those little yellow plastic fake disks for
transport.
Cheers,
Charles
