By null-modem, I think the request was for a device that reflects output on a port back into its input. Not a gender changer. It involves hooking transmitters to receivers and vice versa. For the Mac there is a question about what to do with one extra pin that is a receiver at both ends. During a recent clean up I found and set aside a couple of molded 8 pin plugs that had no cables connected. They might be null modem connectors but they could be something entirely different. If I could find them I could check the pinout. Is the original requester anywhere near Colorado Springs? Ask off line if you need a pinout for making a null modem from a cut-off 8 pin cable. It's not too hard to figure. Transmitters to receivers. The ground isn't necessary at all. -- -->The Creator is the God who provided the void and the rules that matter and energy must live by in order to exist in it.
