I ran Disinfectant 3.7.1 and it found multiple nVIR A and B viruses. I disinfected them, but I still get the address error bombs. I guess it's back to square one.

Your symptoms are inconsistent with nVir infections. That family of viruses is pretty benign, actually, and isn't known to cause the serious symptoms you've described. Your problem is almost certainly caused by leaking capacitors, as I mentioned to you at Jag's forum. If you really want to fix it, open it up and simply look at the logic board. If you see stains, then you've found your problem. The early compacts are *notorious* for this problem. It's one of the first things I check for whenever someone brings me a compact with "a mysterious problem." The fix is easy: throw it in the dishwasher.
