I have problems also with my nvidia 7300 go in Acer Aspire 5635 WLMi laptop, the nvidia 304 driver is not working, it freezes afer login screen (login screen seems to work ok). But this driver, nvidia 304, is working ok in Ubuntu 12.04. In Ubuntu 14.04 I was force tu use the nvidia 173 driver with works ok but is not vdpau usable and is a true shame. Thank you all!
