Simple but pertinent questions.

What kind are they? PATA (old IDE) or SATA (Serial)

The old PATA had to be set for master slave or cable select and on the appropriate end of the cable to be recognized properly.

I am not sure with SATA but I assume there is something in the BIOS to select boot drive in a SATA array.

I (physically)installed several hard drives in my computer yesterday but, now when I turn the computer on, the computer doesn't recognize my boot drive.

I have configured my computer to boot from the CD-R/W drive since, I use the XP Pro disc to boot and, not the hard drive.

I know power is going to all the connected drives(147GB U320, CD-R/W, floppy) but, even after checking to see if I put the cables on backwards, they still aren't recognized through the data cable.

Any help would be appreciated
