There are many people who make a living developing Access databases and
by my rendering that would make them professionals.
While Quark may be the program of choice for things that Publisher can
do, Quark is available for both the Mac and the PC. Publisher is
frequently used by professionals whose profession is something other
than publishing and need a layout program which doesn't have the cost or
complexity of Quark.
I guess I'm surprised at your comments regarding virtualization. From my
experience, the best virtualization platform is Linux, and when it comes
to options, Windows comes next. My experience with Parallels consisted
mainly of trying to work around its shortcomings, not something I've had
to do with VMWare Server, Workstation or Player on Windows or Linux.
