Sorry, I should have said that that site wants to run Active-X, install plugins, run in IE, etc. I'm a Unix/Linux guy. I have Solaris and Ubuntu machines on my desktops at home as well as at the office. I keep a Windows machine on the side just to satisfy my silly obsession with this funny sport. Since it isn't my main machine, I don't mind running IE, active-x etc in the Windows box. Knock-on-wood, for the past few years, I've never had malware or viruses in it. But for someone whose main machine is a Windows box, it probably is a different proposition. This sort of gets to the other two current threads in the list. Once one gets used to a User Interface, it feels natural. All other UIs feel like too much work or non-intuitive. I've lived in a mainly Windows world with my *nixes that have CLIs, OpenOffice, Firefox, etc. Except in this one instance, I need a Windows box to watch a streaming video without jumping through hoops to access the raw stream, convert to something linux can deal with, etc. OSes are just tools to get the job done. Cricket? Now, that's a religion. :) ************************************************************************* ** List info, subscription management, list rules, archives, privacy ** ** policy, calmness, a member map, and more at http://www.cguys.org/ ** *************************************************************************
