Might want to read again...I never sent a link. I'm not sure why you are looking to spend 450, you've made it clear you don't mind spending more on apple hardware. I spend quite a bit more getting ipods then I would getting other mp3 players.
Some of us do like the experiment factor, the case panel on my main system hasn't been on since I built this system, I'm always pulling HD's or adding something etc. As far as WFBs you'll have to find one to ask, they are probably out by big foot having a smoke or swimming with nessie.
