Well again that is an opinion. This new zunehd is a departure from the old
models in much the same way the touch was compared to classic ipod. The big
difference being those classic ipods actually sold. Why should MS keep
building and (trying) to sell these old zune models if it didn't work. You
blast em for selling them...or lack of, and now blast em for dropping them.

that zune interface, so love it or hate it, it's here to stay. From what
I've read the same team that works on the xbox and zune is working on
windows phone OS or whatever they are calling it. I'm hoping although I'm
not holding my breath MS will rewrite windows mobile from the ground up and
the new interface won't just be a single layer right on top of the old
windows mobile. MS has ridden on the backs of the likes of HTC long enough,
making them do some cosemtic work on windows mobile to try and entice users
to purchase. I'm hoping MS won't run into the same wall it seems to with
it's desktop OS and try and make sure those thousands of apps that run on WM
current will run on WM future. Best advice I can think to give to the WM
team is, don't do that.
