As an aside...Motherboards today almost always include sound and some sort of video on board. When or if these go out, you can easily put a card in and you have it working again. I don't use the onboard video on any of my machines, I bypass it and use a video card. I've never had a motherboard become useless because sound/video, NIC or USB going out.
