How to use winex ?

My mail is quite long, so feel free to not read it, but if you think you can
answer some of the points, i'll really appreciate the help.
Maybe pointers to archives or how-to somewhere. i'm not playing games enough
to use transgaming, but if you could help !!!
Stef

Thanks for the comments before.
On the 22/02/2002, i downloaded the cvs of winex.
To make sure everything worked, i resintall my Mdk8.2, so everything was
clear !

To enable gl stuff, i installed Mesa 4.0.1, libGL, libGLU, libglut.

i did ./configure,
and everything went clean.

Now i have few questions :
I have a NVIDIA GeForceIIMX, and would love to use its 3D GL abilities.
To be able to compile, i first use the nvdriver that goes along with
XFree4.2, not the nvidia binairy. I know how to use and install them, it is
not my point.
For the moment, i cannot use this 3d, as i do not installed the nvidia
drivers.
So, as my wine is now compiled with mesa, can i use the nvidia drivers ?
nvidia provides some headers, can/should i use them ? (but the don't provide
glut, so a mix of mesa / nvidia ?)

How do you compile winex, as you are running GeForce's ?

Second point, after installation, i had the message :

Warning: could not find wine config [Drive x] entry for current working
directory /home/Sources/Winex/wine; starting in windows directory.
Warning: /home/Sources/Winex/wine/programs/regapi/regapi not accessible from
a configured DOS drive

Linking root's system registry hive to the global registry...

It is maybe related to floppy/cdrom not pointing on the good directories on
Mandrake, i fixed that in the .wine/config.
Here is the result of ./tools/winecheck :
[root@localhost winex]# ./tools/winecheck
This script verifies the configuration of the whole Wine environment.
Note that this is an ALPHA version, and thus it doesn't catch all problems !
The results of the checks are printed on the right side:
OK         - test passed without problems.
SUSPICIOUS - potentially problematic. You might want to look into that.
BAD        - This is a problem, and it leads to configuration score penalty.
CRITICAL   - A critical problem which can easily lead to malfunction.
FAILED     - This problem leads to Wine failure almost certainly.

The result will be printed as a percentage score indicating config
completeness.

It complains about windows registry : i do have a windows partition, but
umounted it before ./tools/wineinstall to get rid of Windows.

So i can copy whatever i want, but is it possible to do a dummy reg.dat for
example ?

Here is an example of what happens with wine hl.exe --debugmsg warn+all

I am missing a point, clearly, but what (reg.dat place, mlissing the
directory where wine and all its stuff is (i supposed it was well done by
./tool/wineinstall)

(part of it, try to run half-life) :
