I had some segfaulting problems about a year ago. Never figured out exactly what was causing them (maybe some extension?), but when I switched to using Firefox rather than Xulrunner, they resolved.
But since you're having problems even with plain Firefox, I don't know what else to suggest beyond what's been said. I would make sure to "purge" all firefox and xulrunner packages, and delete (or at least move) all configuration/setting files related to these (e.g. in the home directory there's a .conkeror.mozdev.org folder and a .mozilla folder that might be worth tending to) to see if any of that helps.
