I would like to have such a note on the wiki, but do we really know enough about the problem to say anything authoritative about it? Vague documentation can become a problem in its own right, because generalizations are difficult to fact-check later on, and when there may be differences from version to version. bugs.conkeror.org may be the better place until we know more.
