The Department recently initiated a new degree program in telecommunication and media studies and seeks faculty with teaching and research specialties in one or more of the following areas: media industries and management, media law and policy, media history and criticism, or global/international media. Applicants should have a doctorate in communication or a related field as well as a strong record of potential for scholarly publications and successful teaching. The program offers four specialty areas: telecommunication media studies, organizational communication, health communication, and rhetoric and public affairs. Faculty members often intersect in two or more areas and are interconnected in other areas of interest including technology, public policy, organizational rhetoric, and international/ intercultural communication.
