An International Symposium on "Cultural Heritage and Data: the Role of Research 
Infrastructures"
December 5-6, 2016, Library of Congress, Washington D.C.

Organized in the framework of the EU project IPERION-CH, an international 
symposium on "Cultural Heritage and Data: the Role of Research Infrastructures" 
aims at celebrating the outcomes of the transatlantic dialogue in the Heritage 
Sciences.
Participants will be led into this scientific cross-cutting domain embracing a 
wide range of research disciplines supporting various aspects of tangible and 
intangible cultural heritage conservation, interpretation, and management.
EU and US experts will present and discuss the different tools and platforms 
that can support and provide models for international integration including:

·       The current state of on-going EU/US initiatives in the Heritage Science 
field
·       Education and Training related activities
·       Innovative instrumentation and methods for integrated approaches to 
cultural heritage analysis and diagnostics
·       Advancing diagnostics for intervention in conservation and preservation
·       Digital Heritage
