In the spirit of collaboration, and to increase understanding between allied fields, AIC and ADG will be hosting a webinar on archaeological conservation on *Friday, October 13th, 2017*. The webinar will take place from *12-1 pm EDT*. Archaeological conservation is the profession devoted to the preservation of objects and structures that constitute the archaeological record. The moment archaeological materials are uncovered, they are at risk of rapid and irreversible deterioration. Archaeological conservators work with archaeologists before, during, and after excavation to ensure the long-term preservation of the sites and materials for future study and research. Are you curious about conservation, interested in how to become an archaeological conservator, wondering when you need to call one, or wanting to find out how you can find a conservator to work with? Are you interested in hearing about things that conservators do besides treating artifacts? This hour-long webinar will cover all of these topics and more, and will include time for Q&A from the audience at the end. If you would like to submit a question in advance, please email your question in with the subject "IAD Webinar Question" to *k...@conservation-us.org <k...@conservation-us.org>*. Participation is free but registration is required.
