23-24 November 2017 London Metropolitan Archives, London Lecturer: Lara Speroni, private conservator Language: English Participants: Max 12 people Course fee: UKP 200 This two-day workshop will look at the execution and adaptation of sewn-on book covers that are quick and simple to make but effective and non-intrusive. The sewing structures and cover designs can be adopted as a one-off conservation intervention or as a part of a large collection's preservation plan. Participants will have the opportunity to make three to four conservation structures and discuss their potential use or possible modifications with fellow conservators.
