Workshop on Minimal Intervention on Limp Vellum Archival Bindings
London Metropolitan Archives

23-24 November 2017
London Metropolitan Archives, London

Lecturer: Lara Speroni, private conservator
Language: English
Participants: Max 12 people
Course fee: UKP 200

This two-day workshop will look at the execution and adaptation of
sewn-on book covers that are quick and simple to make but effective
and non-intrusive. The sewing structures and cover designs can be
adopted as a one-off conservation intervention or as a part of a large
collection's preservation plan.

Participants will have the opportunity to make three to four
conservation structures and discuss their potential use or possible
modifications with fellow conservators.
