Years ago at NEFFA, I was teaching a buzz swing. I said "Don't look at the room going around; look at your partner's eyes... and if that makes you dizzy, for any reason, just look at something on your partner that does not appear to be moving." Five minutes later the room quieted down and I was able to continue the workshop.
