a) Fix the cdrom. b) Make a partition on the machine put all the first stage stuff on it. Reboot into open firmware (Cmd+Option+O+F). boot hd:X,\\:tbxi where X is your partition number that you put the stuff on. (It needs to be a HFS partition too). From there you ought to be able to start an FTP install.
