I looked at this some more and this guy was running 2.4.4... Well ummm I was running 2.4.4 under 8.0 and it worked fine. So is there a way to get the old ide-cs driver back? >From looking at the differences between 2.4.4-6.2mdk's config and 2.4.18-6.2mdk's (interesting the release versions just conincidentally happen to be the same) disabling CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDECS would do the trick. If you don't do it before I get back from my trip tomorrow Stew I'll try to rebuild 6.1mdk with this change and see what happens.
