I understood it is a PDC 202xx issueNo, because the same problem is evident when installing from CDs made by MakeCD from the 9.1 tree. These would also need that modified kernel.
It was told me to have # CONFIG_PDC202XX_FORCE enabled would fix it.
But there seems to be an issue ... hmm don't care. I can only forward informations of others on these topic ... i could maybe reach a list of twenty people with the PDC202xx issue trough a guy from a webboard. A new floppy image with a -BOOT kernel with the above option enabled should clear thing , shouldn't it
I may give it a try, since I have another machine with the same configuration (except for a Soltek m/b and an add-on Promise card for IDE2 and IDE3) on which 9.1 installs OK.
