Product: uucp Component: packaging Summary: permissions on "cu" don't allow unprivilleged users Product: uucp Version: 1.06.1-22mdk Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: packaging AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] When trying to use "cu" as an unprivilleged user I get the following error: cu: /etc/uucp/port: fopen: Permission denied It seems that either "cu" is supposed to be s[u|g]id to the UUCP system user or the permissions on /etc/uucp are too strict. My past experience tells me its the former. Probably some setgid perms got lost during packaging. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
