Yes, IMHO a bug with /sbin/installkernel, the first kernel update you do will leave you without a bootable version of the kernel you were running previously, and instead give you at least 2 copies of the one you just installed. IMHO, /sbin/installkernel should add an entry for the kernel that was the default when installing a new kernel, instead of adding an entry for the new kernel.
