That's fine if it works.
But why not upgrade the distros libtool to 1.5?
WE have abundant quantities of betas, alphas and hacks, but a basic
program that has been the stable release for 3 months, We do not have.

P.S. I have built and installed libtool-1.5 on 1 of my systems so that I
can at least make use of it's functionality for my personal builds.
