will try again....i don't seem to be able to download correctly the src.rpm (all i get is 30MB of 0) tested from differnet machines connectivity and software.
That's weird... It works here...
ok if it does not hurt performance wile scanning, and if noone complains of it crashing older scsi hardware, but i believe that since it can be turned on on the kernel or module command line it can be left as it is.__setup("max_scsi_luns=", scsi_luns_setup); #endif

as stated in another mail, I'll switch it on in the next kernel...
maybe harddrake could change the parameter depending on which hardware is found.
