IMHO it is right to have amavisd-new started before postfix, because postfix will open later it opens content filters scanners pipes, AFAIK.

yes, amavisd-new should be started before postfix,
spamd should be started as well before postfix, but since there are
better solutions than spamc/spamd (amavisd-new i.e.) it can be disabled
safely.

and clamd should be started before amavisd
and clamd entry should not be commented in amavisd.conf
and clamav user should be in amavis group
and AllowSupplementaryGroups should be uncommented in clamd.conf

and postfix should have filter support in the default package, it is
possible to do so without having to change the default behaviour, then
Mandrake can have antivirus/antispam working out of the box.
(yes, i am also building packages to this end, but i don't have all that
time at the moment)
