Not being Stupid Dell is replacing the drives (Somebody needs to make sure that Linux is not blamed:-)
"Dude, My cd drive is dead" is going to be heard here in the US (Dell uses LG cdroms in some systems)
and i would be very upset if i PAID for an OS and had this kind of "Issue".I'd be more upset about getting a CDROM drive that was so obviously handicapped. Dell should replace it.
