I have a problem with DrakConf in Beta 2. After I open DrakConf, I can get to most things as usual. But when I close it, everything disappears and I am left with a blue-screen and a mouse. No desktop items, no taskbar, no right-click menu, nothing. I can still access config items thru the kmenu. And ctrl-alt-F1 still gets me a console login prompt so I can login as root and shutdown. On a happier note, Beta 2 installs perfectly with almost no input from me. Even my ethernet card and cable connection are detected properly and DHCP works great (I had some problems with 7.2). I also wasn't able to select "cable", but "lan" worked fine -- someone else noted this before. BTW, I installed Beta 2 over 7.2 and deleted the .kde file in my home directory. Let me know if anyone wants more details to find out what is going wrong with DrakConf. - Keith
