I am still hunting the cause, but I am finding that the sample
ViaVoiceOutloud cmdlinespeak program is sporadically segfaulting.
It seems to run fine from a command line but now reliably hangs
or segfaults when run from within an emacs start-process call.
Has anyone else experience problems with ViaVoice? The only
real lead between Mandrake 8.0 and the old 7.2 is the change in
the stdc++ libraries.
