Message-ID: 9r7lm7$qkn$[EMAIL PROTECTED] Mandrake 8.1 ships with libc 5 files so that older programs ( eg Word Perfect 8 for Linux) can use them ( they are on the third disk and are not istalled by default). HOwever they neglected to also include the ld.so files (ld-linux.1.9.5) so it is impossible for those older programs to actually load the libc 5 libraries.
It works to use the ld.so rpm from Mandrake 7.2, but why would they include the libc5 files and not the loader files?
