Beta 4 did not fix the problem I reported earlier about the failure to 
install the driver for the Philips PCVC680k webcam.  

On the other hand, beta 4 is the first time supermount has worked perfectly 
for me when accessing the CD-ROM drive since maybe Mandrake 7.2.
