An update will not be able to be performed if there are errors in lilo.conf - If a newbie cannot find out how to correct this error then the update will not be made correctly. Lilo will not be able to boot the new kernel, and the upgrade is in an undefined state. A real mess! And as far as I remember it was not evident even that you could go back and correct things with DrakX:-( Keld
