I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 with the following specs: 15"SXGA 1400x1050 res 16MB ATI-Rage Mobility 128MB RAM 20 GB HDD DVD drive, Inbuilt Intel EEPro 100 and Lucent LT modem I have two problems- the first is carried over from MDK 8.1 days:
1) The video driver does not get detected correctly - it loads 1024x768 16 bit and stays at Super VGA (the default). In MDK 8.2 after manual tweaking Im able to get it working at 1400x1050 32 bit res but the XFdrake still does not recognize this value. 2) A bigger problem is that harddrake simply freezes the machine the moment it is selected. Does any Inspiron 8000 users on this list have a similar experience? Any solution? Rosh
