I haven't been following the discussion of that closely, but I had a problem that sounds something like that and fixed it. What would happen is after drakfirsttime finished X would crash. Turns out root owned the .gnome directory in my home directory, and drakfirsttime was trying to write to a file there (gdm) and couldn't, so crashed. Removed that directory, and drakfirsttime -> KDE worked fine. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Finance - Get real-time stock quotes http://finance.yahoo.com
