Why strange? Any internal IP (192.168/16 or 10/8 or one of the 172 class Bs) is "normal". So, MS uses 192.168.0/24 by default. > I am unable to use ICS as my millennium and 98 machines cannot see me on > the network. The convention is to set the client machines by DHCP, which should be set up and assigning addresses on 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0 and supplying 192.168.1.1 as gateway address. You may have to reboot or release/renew your IPs on the windows boxen (rebooting win9x is never a bad idea ;-)).
