I'll come back in my explanation : i thought that the problem was the same in 9.0rc3 but i haven't been able to reproduce it, so i cannot test further. For the 8.2, GeForce2MX200 with nvidia drivers 3123, XP1600+, MSI KT266 Pro2, X seems to run fine, but if i try to switch to vc 1-6, i cannot have any display. After a fresh boot, everything is fine, i can switch back and forth, but after a certain time, the display is gone. However i can log into these vc, as i can trace it in ps -aux. It is may be related to the framebuffer resolution, but in this case, why does it happens only after few days, not just after the booting process ?
