Once the RPMs (and maybe other install files) are in a well-known place it's a simple enough operation to make them available via FTP, HTTP, NFS, SMB, Coda, name it. The GUI tool to do this configuration can come as an update, if need be, although as long as you shared them ro by default I see no problem with including them in the default configurations for most of those services.
