Try upgrading fontconfig as well. Then change line 27 of the spec file from: %define with_new_fontconfig_Xft 0 to %define with_new_fontconfig_Xft 1 Worked for me on 4.3. On 4.2.99 I had to comment out lines 1523-25: %if ! %{with_new_fontconfig_Xft} /usr/X11R6/bin/xftcache %endif Good Luck, Arn
