Club also provides a value add that encourages people to join, which in turn
generates revenue, which in turn allows you to have this discussion.

As much as can be done through the face of the Club the better, IMO. The fact
that behind the scenes, the packages go through cooker or contrib or plf does
not matter. User interaction (eg. voting) and a place to get everything from
everywhere is what people want. Hopefully it is valuable enough that they
pay for it.

Despite the fact that this thread is not about business model, I'll further go
on to say that if members occasionally saw some of the developers responding
in the forums and reading the requests, you would really develop a sense that
MandrakeSoft does care and listens to its users. Positive energy, which
leads people to talk to others about Club, which will lead to more members.
