INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup organic oats 3/4 cup organic whole wheat flour 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup organic extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons organic pure honey 1/4 cup organic no fat milk 1/3 cup organic walnut/almond; grinded (if desired)
DIRECTIONS Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grind oatmeals until fine using a blender or food processor. In a medium bowl, stir together the blended oats, grinded nuts, flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in olive oil, milk and honey to form a stiff dough. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/8 inch in thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place cookies 1 inch apart onto cookie sheets. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes in the preheated oven, until edges are lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks. Note: if you want more sweet taste, you can add a bit more honey on top of the animal crackers and put them back to oven until honey melted.
