It's not that bad. The kettle I have has an elongated spout that I line up with the pour spout on the glass press. Start pouring and I just judge the fullness by the sound. As it gets fuller the sound changes. I have gotten to the point where I pretty much judge the amount of water to boil exactly, so I usually never over fill. On occasion I do under fill though. But that just gives me an excuse to make another pot. <Grin>
