Yes, it's perfect for everything!

The original recipe does not call for salt, but I think a half to 1 teaspoon helps. The 3 simple ingredients go together to make a really delicious and flaky crust. Since I discovered this recipe, I make it just about exclusively .

This is the best!

Cream together:
1 cup sweet butter,
6 oz. cream cheese,
1/2 tsp. fine salt, and
1-1/2 cups unbleached or all-purpose flour.

Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour.

divide in half, form 2 balls, roll out each on floured surface, and
proceed with pie recipe.
