Apple Crisp Recipe From Dale
Robert,
This is my tried and true apple crisp/cobbler dish.
I double the crumb mixture and put half of it on the bottom of the
dish, then the apples, and then the rest on top of the apples for a
quick cobbler.
Grandma Bohanans Apple Crisp
Note: This recipe has been a family favorite for four generations!
Combining a teaspoon of cinnamon with the flour mixture before
adding butter gives this recipe extra zip.
Ingredients:
5 or 6 Jonathon or other cooking apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Spread sliced apples evenly in a baking pan.
3. In a medium bowl, cut together butter, flour, cinnamon and
sugar, until mixture resembles crumbs.
4. Sprinkle crumbs on top of apples.
5. Bake for 40 minutes or until topping turns golden brown.
Later.

Subject: [CnD] need apple crisp recipe please
Hi everyone. My mom gave me a bag of apples, and I need to find some
recipes
to use them up. If anyone has any good apple crisp recipes out there that
would be great. Any other recipes with apples you want to send would be
appreciated as well too, just no pie recipes please. Thanks.
