Here's my apple crisp recipe:

Peel, core and cut into 8ths 6-8 apples and place in 9 or 10-inch casserole dish that has a tight-fitting lid. Add 1/4 cup of water to the apples in the dish.

Make topping: Combine 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup white sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Cut in 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter. (I use a food processor for this, but you can use a blending fork, a wooden spoon, or 2 knives; you want the crumbs to be fairly small.

Sprinkle crumbs over apples in dish. Cover dish tightly and place in 350-degree oven for 30 minutes.

Uncover dish and continue baking for 25-30 minutes longer.

Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve with vanilla ice cream or heavy cream.

Enjoy!

Hi everyone. My mom gave me a bag of apples, and I need to find some recipes
to use them up. If anyone has any good apple crisp recipes out there that
would be great. Any other recipes with apples you want to send would be
appreciated as well too, just no pie recipes please. Thanks.
