Hi Mycell,
It's great to find you on this list. I hope you are doing well.

When I fry an egg, I want the yolk to be soft and the white to be white, i.e., not runny, so I start timing as soon as the egg hits the sizzling butter. I plop on a lid and time it for 3 minutes. That works out fine for the way my family and I like our sunny-side-up eggs. If someone wants it over easy, I turn the egg at about 2 minutes and 30 seconds, then in another 30 seconds, I lift it out of the pan. When I scramble eggs, I don't time them, but it doesn't take long. As soon as the eggs are firming up but before they get too hard, I take the skillet off the heat.

HTH, and hope all is well with you and your family,
Penny

Hello all,
I am requesting the approximate timing of frying different styles of fried eggs if anyone can give me a clue it would be greatly appreciated. For example sunny side up, over easy, over medium, over hard; you get what I mean.
thank you in advance for any and all help.

happy cooking,

Mycell
