Anna, Have you tried making this soup? Doesn't it boil over when you add the milk and cook for 8 additional minutes?

It would be really good, I think, if you pureed it with an immersion blender, and also if topped with grated cheese.

4 c. diced potatoes

1 medium onion, chopped

1 c. chopped celery

1 carrot, sliced

1 jar (2 oz.) Hormel 100% real homestyle bacon pieces

4 tbsp. butter

1 c. chicken broth (or use bouillon)

2 c. milk

Or use 1/4 pound crisp bacon, crumbled.



Method



1. Combine first 7 ingredients in 3 quart casserole. Cover loosely with plastic wrap. 2. Microwave on high 13 to 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender stirring once.

3. Stir in milk (salt and pepper to taste).

4. Recover.

5. Cook high 8 minutes or until heated.
